Welcome to St. Paul's Anglican Community Centre in Delta Ontario
We made mention earlier of the generosity of a private foundation and an individual donor, but it is worth repeating. We deeply appreciate their generosity. Without it, we could not have accomplished what we have or be where we are today with regard to serving the needs of our community. Secondly, we want to express our gratitude to the contractors who donated their time and materials, and especially the volunteers. Without these gifts of treasure, time, and skills, we would not be where we are today.
With the improvements to the church completed, we are now seeking funding for the transformation of the hall. This will be the permanent home for the Foodbank, which will include a kitchen with locking cabinets, fridge/freezer and be a safe, inclusive and welcoming space for all. Our region has people living in great need, with affordability being a top concern for many families.
The completed hall would allow SPACC to expand and elevate our offerings to meet the evolving needs of the community. It will serve as a meeting place for various groups with a focus on youth/seniors’ programs, a space to share ‘pay what you wish’ communal meals, and an opportunity for our organization to generate revenue (through facility rentals and paid events) ensuring financial sustainability in the future.
If baking or making soups and sandwiches are more your style or helping with our free community luncheons and yard sales, we would love to have you join the team. If committee work is more your style, we would welcome your involvement there as well.
The overall project cost excluding HST (which is recoverable) is estimated to be $441,400.00 and will be executed in two phases. Phase 1 will be the restoration of the interior at an estimated cost of $296,400.00. Phase 2 will be the restoration of the exterior at an estimated cost of $145,000.00.
For over 200 years St. Paul’s has been a centre for spiritual development and community service, providing a social and emotional support system for its members, extending its help to those in need outside the church walls. It has fostered strong bonds to help individuals grow while also breaking down societal barriers. Although it is no longer a consecrated church, we know that it can be a great community hub benefiting this area.
Not surprisingly, a project of this size will take a considerable amount of financial support, and we are always grateful for donations of any amount. We are continuing to apply for grants as the opportunities arise, given that there is a significant amount of capital needed to refurbish and restore the facility. Any amount that you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Rest assured that all work will be completed in accordance with the requirements of the Township of Rideau Lakes and the Ontario Heritage Trust. Please know that we have our own charitable registration number and that you have contributed to a safe, secure, and welcoming space for which we are truly grateful. Your gift to St. Paul’s stays at St. Paul’s.

All donations of ten dollars or more will receive a receipt for income tax purposes.
And now for something completely different. Do you have an old car or truck that's taking up space you would like to use for another purpose? Can't decide what to do with it or how to get rid of it? We have a suggestion for you. The nice folks at Donate A Car Canada will take it away, handle the admin work, including the arrangements for taking the car away. We get a donation and you get an income tax receipt for the value of the donation. I think that's called a WIN - WIN. Interested? Check it out at http://donatecar.ca
